What an amazing week!

Today marks 20 weeks and 2 days along. Tristan Ace is back to being due on October 22. We got to see his beautiful face today. He's crunched up in a 'kissing his knees' position and is currently breech. Sergio said not to worry, there is plenty of time for him to get 'head first'. Today was our final prescribed ultrasound, and from what we saw and were told, Tristan is a perfectly healthy boy!

This past week has been an incredible one. Mom and Dad Lackovich came out to visit and spoiled us tremendously while they were here. We had a ton of fun shopping for Tristan's bedroom furniture and got the most beautiful crib, wardrobe and changing table/dresser set that I've ever seen (Thanks so much Mom and Dad L.!!!)! We will be decorating our little ACE's room with a Prince Charming theme, because after all - he is our little prince!

We also spent Tuesday, June 2 at Sea World to celebrate my 34th birthday and had a super fun dinner together with my family. Dad bbq'd his infamous Chamorro ribs and mom made the best red rice! The excitement filled the air in anticipation of Tristan's arrival. My belly has never been touched so much! But, I/Tristan/We Love It and don't mind a bit!

I've been feeling Tristan's kicks, punches and other movements quite often. It's so comforting to know he's with me all day, every day. Joel is so concerned about how much space he has to be comfortable....he was pleased to see this morning Tristan happily resting his head in peace on mommy's placenta pillow!

With 20 more weeks to go, we have a lot to accomplish. We have been looking for a new home to start our family - somewhere closer to Nana and Tata. We will miss the hustle and bustle of living downtown, but know that we will be better off and safer in a more residential environment with our two precious pups and Tristan.

We've started taking long walks to get ready for the mini-triathlon of "birth" ahead. We'll also start eating better and resting when we need it.

Below is a video of Tristan and what we were able to sneak peak on this morning...enjoy!

Half Way There and Baby's Kickin'

It's the most amazing feeling to know that Tristan is inside me, connected to me, alive and kicking. Now at 20 weeks (half way there!) Tristan keeps me comfy and confident all through the day as I feel him moving around and making waves in my belly.

My friend Merfit gave me this poem and I want to share it because it says exactly how I'm feeling at this very moment!

Running errands and talking on the phone,
I am pleasantly reminded that I am not alone.
Little tiny hands, a precious rounded knee
pushing and twisting that no one can see.
Oh sweet child kicking up your heels, it is our little secret that only I can feel.
I look forward to your birth, when I can kiss your skin,
but for now I will just smile, As I feel you play within.

There's No Doubt About It! It's A BOY!

Today, at 18.5 weeks in the womb, Tristan Ace is a healthy, 9 oz. baby BOY! This sonogram video shares it all! See Tristan's beautiful face in 4D color by watching this amazing video. You can also see his healthy 138 heartbeats per minute! Joel's genes are definitely proving to be prominent as Tristan develops. See his detached ears and the adorable "Brinkmann" button nose! What a miracle! Mom and Dad Lackovich are coming to visit this week and we are so excited! I'm feeling much better these days (what a tough first trimester!). Joel and I just returned from a small weekend getaway to Half Moon Bay for cousin Francesca's wedding. I was so happy to be able to catch up with her on our latest pregnancy stories - she is due just a short 6 weeks after Tristan. It was my first "trip" in the past few months and other than a bunch of restroom breaks, everything was wonderful.

As of today, doctor says Tristan is 9 oz., 19 weeks, and due on October 19, 2009!

As for mommy, she's had all the symptoms an expecting mother could have. But the most exciting, by far, is having felt Tristan moving around in my womb on Friday. He was quite the active one! Oh, the anxiety of seeing this little guy in person!

Today is Grandpa Rose's Birthday...We love and miss you deeply! RIP xoxo <3

Baby Bump at 15 1/2 Weeks

I'm definitely starting to show now! I'm pretty sure I felt Baby T flutter for a hot second yesterday and it was so exciting! I called Joel to come check it out but I think Baby T was done showing off for the night :) I've been feeling a lot better the past few days. Joel and I were able to celebrate his birthday by bowling with friends, taking long walks and going to the dog park with ease and it felt great! I thought my days of "morning sickness" were over but that changed this morning. Overall, I'm feeling much better. Today I was delighted to hear from several people that I'm "glowing" - doesn't every expectant mother want to hear that? I mean, you feel a million things,  BUT "glowing" isn't one of them! :)

I'm loving all things hot and spicy and have been having a lot more dreams than I ever have - and they are all vivid dreams that I can fully remember when I wake up! I read today that it's the progesterone that causes this. I'm glad they're not scary dreams! They are mostly work related - I hope that changes soon!

We'll soon begin our search for a home so that we can start planning Baby T's nursery. We are excited to meet our doctor, Dr. Pederson, at our next appointment this Thursday. I'll be finishing up my first trimester blood tests too. We'll be having our next sonogram on May 25, my grandfather's birthday and Memorial Day, which will be solely for the purpose of confirming that Baby T is a boy and to get some updated snapshots of the little ham!
